Things to do in Antigua
Nelson’s Dockyard National Park: Nelson’s Dockyard is the largest of Antigua’s National Parks and is still used today as a working dockyard for numerous yachts and ships. Includes the Dockyard Museum
Shirley Heights: Shirley Heights is a restored military lookout and gun battery with spectacular views over English Harbour and Falmouth Harbour.
Devil’s Bridge: Devil's Bridge is a natural arch carved by the sea from soft and hard limestone ledges.
Hawksbill Beaches: This beautiful bay gets its name because of a strange-looking rock protruding from the water just off the bay. There are four beaches on this bay.
St. John's Saturday Morning Market: Opens at 5.30 am on a Saturday morning. Here you will find local produce like breadfruit, mangoes, soursop, sugar apples, pineapples, dasheen, tamarind, and vegetables. The craft market attached sells locally produced arts and crafts.
Museum of Antigua & Barbuda: The museum is housed in the colonial Court House. It is the oldest building still in use and was constructed in 1747 on the site of the first city market.
Fort Barrington: Fort Barrington is the only fort to see military action in Antigua. It is walking distance from the Royalton Resort.
VC Bird Monument: Sir Vere Cornwall Bird Sr was the first Prime minister of Antigua.
Heritage Quay: A shopper’s paradise! Offers a wide array of duty and tax free. Heritage Quay also offers a great view of St. John's Harbour
